Trained in most aspects of the bakery trade Have J.C. in Homecraft, Pitman's in Typing & English, City and Guilds in Design & Decoration of Flour Confectionery.

Notes
I stayed at school for a 5th year to take some exams and I wanted to join the WRENS but as my parents wouldn't let me I went into the bakery trade. I started at the beginning in the Pastry Room and worked my way through to the Decorating Room (very early starts, but very rewarding).

I also went to college for two years and night school for two years for dressmaking. I did an Artwork course for a while which I still enjoy doing now. I also enjoy gardening and love a challenge.

I have lived in Smisby since 1994 and I have been a member of the Hawk & Owl Trust since 1993.

I enjoy letter writing and meeting people with different interests.

I am currently enjoying working at the Village Hall and being part of Smisby Day Nursery, it's a challenge and that's what it's all about.
